The Sycopel Dual Microdialysis Biosensor combines the techniques of in vivo microdialysis and voltammetry in one integrated device enabling "real time" measurement of analytes with greater ease and simplicity. One significant advantage of the Biosensor over conventional techniques is the elimination of the need to collect samples at invervals from a microdialysis probe for later analysis.

Biosensor to Biosensor probe
- Two independent biosensors giving differential measurements enabling the subtraction of immediate environmental electrical noise and increased sensitivity.
- Simultaneous measurement of two different analytes in the same region in "Real Time".
- Simultaneously measuring an analyte and running a control under identical conditions.
- Differental measurement enabling the subtraction of interferent signals.
Biosensor to Drug-targeting probe
- Biosensor can be used independently of the drug targeting probe - many uses in pharmacology for measurements of analyte/drug addition, measurement of analyte to determine the effect of drug addition.
- Measurement of analyte in "Real Time" while simultaneously applying drugs.
- Targeting drugs in local environment where measurement of analyte is being taken.
NOTE: Dual Biosensors are suitable for both in vivo and in vitro use.
